KOB 4 interviewed the Lea County Sheriff, who says this is not a serial killer investigation. The latest reports are that a previous owner was a bone collector and the investigation continues.

Carlsbad City Council Updated on Cavern Theatre Completion
City of Carlsbad Deputy Administrator KC Cass updated council on the historic theatre project. The Cavern Theatre should be open in the Summer of 2025.

Matt Hutchinson elected Eddy County Sheriff
Sheriff-elect Matt Hutchinson (R) won his race against Andrew Kennedy (L) on November 5th. Hutchinson recieved over 80% of the vote and Kennedy finished with about 17%.
Current Sheriff Mark Cage will be Hutchinson's undersheriff.
We are off for the week of November 25th for the Thankgiving Holiday
Make sure to attend the Electric Light Parade kicking off Small Business Saturday in Carlsbad.
Eddy County CASA is doing a 5K fundraising run at the Beach at 8am on November 30th.
Then visit local Carlsbad businesses to Shop Local on Small Business Saturday
At 330pm, head to the Halagueno Arts Park for vendors, food trucks, the park lighting at 7pm and the Candy Land Electric Light Parade.
The Candy Land Electric Light Parade will take off from the Halagueno Arts Park, down Mermod to Canyon Street and then to the Beach.
At 9pm the Christmas Tree lighting on the Island will officially kick-off the Christmas season in Carlsbad.
Weather
The weather this week is cold for us. Highs in the low 60's and even in the mid to low 50's. We will get close to freezing overnight Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are not expected to rach 70 degrees all week.
