The Balzano Family Pumpkin Patch is open every Saturday and Sunday in october and through the first weekend of November.

Artesia High School bowling coached inducted into Hall of Fame (Artesia Daily Press)

Artesa High School consistently has one of the best bowling programs in the state and their coach was honored by being inducted into the bowling hall of fame.

Mike Smith is a great local reporter for the Carlsbad Current-Argus. Read the story:

Both grants came from the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED). One of the grants, for $700,000, will be used to purchase, equip and install a generator for the Sheep’s Draw Wellfield near Carlsbad. The wellfield is seven miles southwest of Carlsbad in the foothills of the Guadalupe Mountains and is the main source of groundwater for the city, according to the city’s website.
